HOME FOR THE HERDERS
SENEGAL
On a recent film project documenting the effects of mobile phones and internet’s arrival in Western Africa’s rural settings, we spent time with a Pheul family. A nomadic people present in large swathes of the continent, they rely on their animals to survive, moving according to the availability of rangelands.
During the cold season, family members gather at their home for a few months, before splitting ways again. This time is a chance to get a glimpse into family dynamics, intergenerational relationships and share meals under the stars.
